Tomorrows BIG Event

Just one more day to go till AICR’s (www.aicr.org.uk) biggest event in Second Life is held, I will be hosting this event and making sure it runs as smooth as it can.

The event starts at 8pm UK time and 12SLT PM, to start the event the popular AICR win a date auction will commence around 8:15pm and should last for just over 2 hours. Then after the auction there will be 3 live acts performing.

So far a total of £46 has been donated towards this event, so I would like to think that i could raise more than the 2nd auction which was a great total of £470.

Die Hard 1,2 and 3 – Review

I have never seen Die Hard 2 or 3 so when I spotted the Die Hard Quadrilogy box set I decided to buy it.

What can you say these films are so much fun and loaded with action and a great cast. Each film isn’t better than the others as personally they all stand out as great individual movies and the small jokes that carry on from each are great.

I have still to watch Die Hard 4.0 so when I do I will review it.

Megan McCauley – Better Than Blood

I recently heard about this new artist, and thought I would give her album a few listens to see if i liked her style or not.

Megan’s album “Better Than Blood” is very Rock orientated which isn’t a bad thing, as I am really starting to get into Rock music more and more. I have listened to this album about 5 times now, and with each listen it keeps getting better.

I would recommend you take a look at her site and listen to some of the tracks.

Overall i would give it 8 out of 10

Tarja used to be the lead singer of Nightwish (www.nightwish.com) a band that I am big fan off. Up until recently Tarja left and was replaced by Anette, who is a little more pop style rather than operatic.

Technically this is Tarja’s first album (as she did have a Christmas album out last year). I have just visited the site and listened to the sample tracks and watched the video, and was very impressed with what I heard so much that I have just ordered her album.

Go watch the video and listen to the tracks, if your a Nightwish fan you will like her album.

Charity Aid SL – Update

Everyone I talk to in SL cant wait for this event, they have told friends, family etc all about this. So far all ready as much as £20.00 has been donated to this event so only £450 more and it will have raised the same as the last auction…though I am hoping it raises more.

About 60% of the candidates have sent me a little information about them which is great, so hopefully so will the remaining 40%.

The auction will start at 20:00 UK time, and its expected to finish at 22:00/22:15. The live bands will follow so the event should finish at 00:00/01:00 AM.

So far I have 2 live artists lined up for after the auction.

Laptop Surprise

I purchased a HP Pavilion DV6000 in February 2007 from an online shop, it was to have 1gig Ram, 80GB HD, DVDRW and XP etc but I was told by the company that the model I ordered was out of stock so they would send me one that was of the same spec’s or better.

When it arrived it had Vista, DVDRW with Lightscribe and a slightly better webcam. It wasn’t till one months use i looked and noticed it had a 120GB HD which was great, and now as from yesterday I noticed that it had 2GB RAM WOOHOOO

So it was a very nice shock to find more RAM as I was going to be ordering another 1GB to bump it up to 2GB, so i don’t need to.

Charity Aid SL – Update 2

So my goal of 25 girls and 25 guys…I changed to 20 and 20 as I think 40 is large enough. As from today i have 20 girls and 20 guys so I am very happy.

I have sent all the candidates information about this auction and I am waiting for some text about them, so I can tell the audience a little about each candidate.

Everyone is looking forward to this and have been telling all their friends
